Hasomed
Hasomed is the creator of the RehaStim Functional Electrical Stimulator. Via electrodes attached to the skin, electrical impulses stimulate the muscles of the legs in a synchronized way to produce a rotational movement. RECK MOTOmed and Hasomed have partnered together to create RehaMove. When combined with the RECK MOTOmed, you get a more complete method of therapy. The RehaStim stimulator responds to the movement therapy machine and sends the impulses to the right muscles at the right time. Ri, LLC is the national distributor of the Hasomed.

RehaStim - A universal stimulator for Functional Electrical Stimulation

RehaStim is a stimulation device offering a wide range of applications and ease of use unique in Europe. Controlled by several internal micro computers, RehaStim meets all demands for the application of electrical stimulation in the clinical and home environments.

RehaStim is the basic device for numerous Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) application systems. Through special inputs and outputs, RehaStim can be connected to further devices. The device design aims to maximise patient safety.

The stimulator provides a number of application programs for practical use. In Science Mode, the user can fl exibly control stimulation with a PC via a USB interface - a highlight for clinical research!

One for All

RehaStim can implement a wide range of tasks when applying electrical stimulation sequences in diagnostics and therapy.

The main emphasis is on the field of Functional Electrical Stimulation, as implemented in RehaBike and RehaMove. Combined with further devices, RehaStim can be used to control additional movement sequences for paralysed limbs such as standing up, straightening up, gripping etc.

Of course, RehaStim can also be applied to improve muscle function (activation and building up of muscles, boosting the blood circulation), to reduce spasticity and for many other purposes.

RehaMove - Ergometer training with Functional Electrical Stimulation

RehaMove is adapted for people with movement disorders, for example with paraplegia, Multiple Sclerosis and after stroke.

In people with residual muscle function following stroke or accidents, Functional Electrical Stimulation can promote faster recovery of the affected nerve pathways, amongst other benefi ts, due to the activation of the proprioceptive pathways (“carry-over effect”). The process of relearning movement is supported.

For muscle rebuilding, the paretic muscle is trained and activated directly – spasticity is reduced. In contrast to gait training, people who cannot yet walk can accomplish this training with RehaMove.

The therapist is unburdened!

The improvement of muscle function, bone structure and the cardiovascular system are all positive effects which are of particular importance to people with complete or incomplete paraplegia.

More effective neurological rehabilitation is feasible.
