Message from Germany |
Many hypertensive patients are limited in finding ways to fight hypertension. A recent study shows that MOTOmed arm cycling reduces blood pressure and offers a great training alternative "despite having coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, or intermittent claudication."
To find out more or to receive the full text version of the study, The Cardiovascular Effects of Upper-limb Aerobic Exercise in Hypertensive Patients, please contact Irma Handzic (irma@motomed.com). |

Community Involvement |
| At Ri, LLC we take pride in the communities we live in. We look for ways to serve our communities to help them grow and flourish. This past winter, Laura Raigoza volunteered as a soccer coach for the Wesley Chapel Athletic Association. She coached her son's U8 soccer team. They had a very successful season! Laura stated, "This opportunity was a great way to work with kids and foster family and community growth. I think learned more from the kids then they did from me! It was a great season!"

Stretch Stick - Exercise of the Month |
Stretch Stick provides many uses and benefits through exercises that stimulate the core muscles and stretch tight muscles. This increases the blood flow to the muscle and its connective tissues. Exercise of the Month: Basic Core Strength Exercise
Draw your belly button in, continue to breathe. Gently push your arms forward creating tension, pushing your lower back against Stretch Stick. Keep that tension as you move toward your left shifting your bodyweight to the left leg. Count to twenty return to beginning stance and repeat on the other side. Repeat as desired.
